(a) If the chip resetter works, will the reset chip now behave like the other chips doing its "reset" along with all the other auto reset chips, or will I have to continue to "reset" that particular chip with the chip resetter, again and again?ģ.
#Resetter epson 1390 not working full#
If the chip on the Magenta Cartridge is, indeed, not working - although at this point all I can say for certain is that the printer does not recognize the chip and it is registering as "0%" full according the the SSC Service Utility - will using a "chip resetter" - external model, supposedly available at Staples for around US$10.00, be able to reset this chip and get me up and running again? Am I doing something wrong when using the SSC Service Utility to prevents the Magenta Cartridge from registering "full," and if so, could someone post a procedure (step by step please) to help me make the utility work with my Epson R300?Ģ.

Then I sent an email to "wholesale_ink" at reporting what seemed to me to be a malfunction in the reset chip for the CIS Magenta Cartridge.ġ. I tried numerous other "fixes" from other postings in this Forum, to no avail. This did not happen, and the "red" flashing light continued to taunt and challenge me!

The printer did not work, nor has it worked since then!įrom yet another posting, I learned that I could carefully remove the CIS Cartridges and re-install them, and that when the printer was turned on again, the "smart" "auto" chips in all of the cartridges would reset themselves to show between 90% and 100% full. When I tried to reset the levels on that, and all other cartridges, I was not able to get the Magenta cartridge to be recognized. Just two days ago, however, the "red" flashing button on the console and the display gave me an error message, "Ink Cartridge(s) Cannot be Recognized: Magenta: T0483 For best results, use genuine EPSON Inks"Īfter reading literally hundreds of postings on this Forum, I downloaded the SSC Service Utility, which, when I ran it, told me that my Magenta Ink Cartridge was showing "Empty" at 0%. I own an Epson R300 and CIS that I purchased from "wholesale.ink" I followed the installation instructions and it worked perfectly. Hello! I am a newbie to this forum and hope that someone will be able to shed some light on a preplexing problem I seem to be having with the CIS that I installed on my Epson R300!
